Thomas is a qualified Developmental Educator and Special Education Teacher who works full time with DMD Therapeutic & Behavioural Consulting. Thomas joined the team as a placement student during his final years of University and has spent the last two years working through being a Therapy Assistant before filling the role of Developmental Educator. Thomas’ role is both therapeutic and behavioural, understanding behaviour for those with DMD and how this informs therapeutic supports. Thomas works closely with Michelle Pomeroy in service delivery of face-to-face capacity building, provision of training, consultation, and resources for upskilling teams, and supporting Therapy Assistant to facilitate social groups. Thomas evaluates his own practice to learn from those with DMD, adjusting services to better meet their needs. Thomas also provides Developmental Education services to those outside the neuromuscular community; however, this capacity is limited. Thomas enjoys listening to music and seeing friends, collecting vintage t-shirts, and loves getting involved in the neuromuscular community.
